Fashion Inspiration - Autumn Leaves Wrap-Around Skirt And Black Top

Fall is here, and with it comes cooler weather, bonfires, fall festivals, beautiful leaves, warm sweaters and boots! Unfortunately the mosquitos have not left yet. (pesky insects!) But in the spirit of the season I'm sharing one of my favorite fall outfits, I really love this wrap-around skirt. It is so fun and is easily paired with a pair of black leggings for colder days.

I paid about $5 for the wrap-around skirt  at a thrift store, the boots I paid about $10 for last fall at a thrift store, the sweater I got at a thrift store for $5 and the tear-drop necklace was a gift. I pulled my hair back into a pony-tail and then braided the rest.

Fashion Inspiration - Retro Sailor Dress

Today I am wearing a sailor dress from eShakti *,  They call it the 'Contrast Trim A- Line Poplin Dress'. I can't remember what I got it on sale for but it's normally $64.95. They are always having deals and promotions so check them out. If you don't know anything about the company eShakti, you should.  I was approached to review one of their dresses a while back.  They are great! They offer you the option of picking your size or for a few dollars more they will customize the garment to your measurements.  They will adjust the sleeves, remove the pockets, adjust the length, etc.  This is one of the many great looks they have to offer.  You should check them out! Oh, and the sizes are 0 - 36. Can't lose there! Check it out ladies here.
The pearl necklace is my grandmothers, the pearl earrings I got from Burkes. The sunglasses are from Ross. I paid about $6 for them. The heels are from a vintage store, I paid $4 for them. To do my hair I parted it then bobby pinned it so the front would stay slightly poofed out and in sort of a wave. Then put in a slight side pony then rolled it up into a sock bun. Then added a little ribbon that my cousin from Texas gave me (it was originally around a package of peanut brittle -Wink-).

Fashion Inspiration - Green And Cream Skirt And Shirt

I don't know about you, but I am not ready to give up summer! I've had so much fun that I am not ready for it to end... or to be cold. For some reason some young ladies I knew call me Elsa, I don't know why because I hate being cold. I never could get them to understand that. Today I am wearing a long green skirt with beading at the bottom. I got it at a thrift store for about $5,  and a cream top that also came from a thrift store for about $3-4. To do my curls I used sponge rollers, then used a scrunchy to hold it in a low pony.

Break down:
Shirt: Thrift Store ($3-4)
Skirt: Thrift Store ($5)
Hair: Sponge rollers & a scrunchy
This life therefore, is not righteousness, but growth in righteousness, not health, but healing, not being, but becoming, not rest but exercise. We are not yet what we should be, but we are growing toward it. The process is not yet finished, but it is going on. This is not the end, but it is the road. All does not yet gleam in glory, but all is being purified. - Martin Luther
