White Blouse With Rose Embroidered Jeans

Hey, ladies! Today I am wearing a fun white blouse with blue jeans with pink roses embroidered on them. I paired it with a pink bracelet, necklace, and earrings. I left my hair down and used a simple braided headband with flowers on it to keep it out of my face. And for a splash of fun color, I wore my navy polka-dot tennis shoes. I spent the day babysitting so this was great to keep up with three energetic kids and a puppy and super comfortable.

Jeans: Burkes $19.99 (normally $50!)
Shoes: Walmart $7
Shirt: Burkes $5
Bracelet: A gift
Necklace: Walmart $5
Earrings: Burkes $3

Sock Bun Hair Tutorial

The bun can be high on the head or down low.  Where ever you want your bun to be that is where you need to make your ponytail.  I wanted mine lower on my head so that is where I have it.  Make sure it is tight so the elastic band won't just slip off. I like to spritz my hair with a bit of water before I make the bun.  This will make curls or waves for when you take the bun out. Pretty easy. So, here we go.

Step:1 Start with a pony-tail.

Step: 2 Pull your hair through the sock thing-y ( You can buy a sock bun thing or you can take the toe off of a sock and roll it up from the toe to the top and it will make a great sock bun form.  A more mens sporty sock will of course give you a bigger bun a dress sock will give you a smaller bun.)  and pull it to the bottom ends of your hair.

Step: 3 This is where the spritz of water helps.  You then fold the ends of your hair over and tuck them under the sock as above.  Try to get all the ends in the bun.

Step 4: Fold the sock & hair outward moving up the ponytail so that more hair is wrapped.

Step: 5 Stick your thumbs into the center and flip it inside out again and again working your way up the ponytail.

Step: 6 Keep flipping try to keep the hair pretty tight.

Step: 7 Here is where it gets a little trickier. You need to keep the hair between the back of your head and the bun pretty straight while still twisting the hair around the bun piece and grab any shorter hair that would be loose ends and put in the bun.

Step: 8 Fold one last time so that bun is snug against your head like the picture above

You can finish off if you want with a hair spray or mousse to just hold it if you have lots of little ends but other than that, it is done.  If you find it loosening up just fold it in tighter during the day.  This needs no bobby pins or any fasteners.  Enjoy!  Let us know what you think.  Share your pictures with us!  We love to see pictures!

COVERGIRL'S Super Sizer Mascara ~ Review ~

Hi ladies, a couple months ago we were doing a reviewing job for Influester through Rosevine Cottage Girls. I had to review COVERGIRL'S newest mascara, Super Sizer Mascara. Oh such a shame right? Don't you hate it when you have to try out new makeup? Anyway, I've read quite a few reviews that stated that they didn't like this mascara. I on the other hand really like it! I really love the way it made my lashes look and the brush worked perfectly to get the edges of my lashes. Between all the girls in our house we are going to need a new bottle very soon!

Here is a before picture:

And After:

Have you tried this mascara out? What did you think?

Black and White Color Block Sundress

Hey, ladies! It's that time of year, cooler weather and warmer mix making it a bit of a challenge to decide what to wear- but what fun it is!

Today's fashion inspiration is this adorable black white and brown color block sundress that at I picked up at a local vintage store for $12, paired with adorable white sandals and a shark tooth necklace. You could also add a cardigan or jacket with this look for chillier days. Simple, fun, and so cute!

For my hair, I just parted a small section in the front of my head and french braided it back the back of my head and bobby pinned it into place.

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 NIV
Have a great week!

Not Your Mother's Clean Freak Collection Review

About a month ago we won Influensters Not Your Mother's badge and got these great products as a prize. We thought we would go ahead and review them for you. Over the last weeks, we've been trying them and have to say we LOVE them!

The dry shampoos work wonderfully, perfect for those moments you're about to walk out the door and realize you need to wash your hair, like the Saturday we went to Remembering World War II.

The shampoo and conditioners are awesome! They leave our hair soft and shiny, and it isn't really harsh on it like some other products we've tried. The best part? They're sulfate, paraben and dye free. This is wonderful for our family because we have very sensitive skin.
